Fiber Frenzy
TDS has started construction of its fiber network in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Once complete, approximately 3,800 residents will have access to speeds of up to 8 Gbps as well as phone and TV services.

Evoca On Verge of Shutdown
Evoca TV announced late Wednesday it would shut down on Dec. 31 if it doesn’t raise additional capital, but don’t mourn the service quite yet. CEO Todd Achilles told CFX Thursday that the ATSC 3.0-based service is already well on its way to raising the funding it needs to go on.

Retrans Pain in the Rump
Here’s the thing about retransmission consent spats. They’re kind of like hemorrhoids. Once they flare up, they often come back again. So is the case with DISH and Cox Media Group, with the satellite provider losing various ABC, FOX, CBS and NBC stations Monday evening in nine markets, including Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Seattle.

Comcast is embarking on a $9 million project to expand its fiber network to over 3,400 homes and businesses in Spring Hill, Kansas. The provider will offer 1 Gbps for residents and up to 100 Gbps for businesses.

ACA Connects Names New CEO
