Our Take:

NBCU’s streaming comedy service Seeso is offering a generous, one-month-long free trial to starting December 3, The Verge reports. The price point is $3.99 a month, and it includes a vast library of stand-up, comedy classics like “Kids in the Hall” and “Monty Python’s Flying Circus,” as well as NBC’s primetime comedies and late night replays. We did an extensive Q&A with NBCU’s Evan Shapiro about the service here, in which he explained that the service is for comedy nerds of all ages. He also discussed the business goals of Seeso and the OTT business in general–now and in the future.

Are you willing to pay $4 per month for ad-free comedy? Is anyone? NBC’s soon going to find out. But before consumers can properly subscribe to its upcoming SeeSo video service, the company will offer a free month-long trial that kicks off December 3rd.
