By the time you read this, a billion more cable industry folks will have doused their mugs in freezing cold water for the good cause of ALS awareness. But no harm in a fun, Friday roundup of a few of our favorites. Take a look at who has taken the plunge so far.

NCTA president and CEO Michael Powell accepted the challenge from FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn. The TV is a nice touch.

Elsewhere at the FCC, Commissioner Ajit Pai accepted a challenge from Meredith Attwell Baker, president and CEO of CTIA-The Wireless Association, and passed it on to former FCC chairman Julius Genachowski.

It’s not just regulators taking the plunge. Entire networks, like Animal Planet, are taking part. Here’s a challenge happily accepted by Animal Planet from TLC.
