We’ve been hearing it from the executives at AMC for a while now: International expansion is a key element to the company’s growth strategy. Now it can count the UK as one of of its distribution partners. The network will launch in the UK this September on BT, a provider that bought Premier League soccer matches at a premium price and offers Netflix for customers as well. AMC is now in more than 125 countries across the globe. At launch, it will “Fear the Walking Dead,” the “Walking Dead” spin-off series. Read more at Deadline.

Cable channel AMC will launch this September in the UK for the first time after striking an exclusive deal with BT. The channel, available for the first time in the UK, will be carried on BT’s YouView platform. AMC execs had been in talks with various Pay TV platforms for some months over carriage for its channels.
