ESPN used Monday Night Football’s opening on Sept 9 to warn viewers of a stand-off between AT&T and the Walt Disney Co, but now the two have reached an agreement in principle, ESPN confirmed. The original dispute was a little surprising, given that newly-launched ACC Network had gained carriage on DirecTV. Exact expiration date wasn’t specified, but was understood to be sometime in September. A potential blackout would have applied to the U-Verse platform and DirecTV, alongside internet streaming service AT&T Now (formerly DirecTV Now) for Disney Nets, including Nat Geo and FX.
