When Hurricane Harvey left thousands without power last summer, Martinez immediately stepped up to provide a damage assessment to local and state officials in order to help customers regain usage of their Comcast services. He made a $1 million commitment in support of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Hurricane Relief Fund and the American Red Cross. Additionally, under Martinez’ leadership Comcast allowed non-Xfinity customers to use hotspots during the crisis caused by the hurricane.
