Disney Junior is growing up to unprecedented success under the guidance of Cocchia and Kanter, who oversaw the launch of new franchise series “The Lion Guard”—already setting network records. Aside from guiding network staples like “Sofia the First” and 2015 Peabody-winning “Doc McStuffins,” Kanter will be introducing a new Disney princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures, and a movie based on the “Fancy Nancy” franchise. Promoted to his post last year, Cocchia continues to excel at determining new business opportunities to grow Disney Channels brands.
