What nonprofit are you proud to champion? The Posse Foundation, which identifies and trains individuals from diverse backgrounds with extraordinary leadership potential, preparing them to succeed in college and beyond. A key driver of success for these individuals is a sense of belonging, which Posse fosters.

What does work-life balance mean to you? To me, work-life balance means finding a harmonious blend between your professional and personal identities, while still being able to separate the two when needed. It’s about bringing your whole self to work—where personal joys or challenges can be acknowledged and shared so that your colleagues understand where you are in life. At the same time, it’s important to dive fully into your work when needed, as it can offer a productive respite from personal responsibilities. Conversely, during personal time, it’s crucial to fully unplug from work to be present with family and friends, allowing yourself to recharge. Striking this balance is key to sustaining long- term fulfillment in both your career and personal life.

Advice I would give a recent graduate: My advice to recent graduates is centered on three key pillars: growth, relationships, and self-awareness. First, invest in networking and relationship-building. Building strong, genuine connections can open doors to new opportunities and insights that may shape your career in unexpected ways. Second, don’t shy away from projects or tasks that push you out of your comfort zone. This is where the most meaningful growth happens. Finally, practice active listening. Developing the ability to truly listen—to your mentors, peers, and even yourself—will help you navigate your career with greater clarity and understanding. These elements are foundational for personal and professional success.
