Luis Fernandez

Fernandez oversees Telemundo’s network news operations and manages the editorial direction of the network. Under the Emmy-winner’s leadership, Noticias Telemundo is on track to be the only evening newscast, regardless of language, to deliver two consecutive years of growth among total viewers and key adult demos. In June, Telemundo became the first Spanish-language outlet in history to co-host a Democratic primary debate, and secured the first Spanish-language network interview with President Trump. Fernandez is passionate about the civil rights movement sweeping the country. “We will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of this very important story to help foster a better and broader understanding of racial injustices in our country,” he says. “Our audience, made up of Latinos, suffers very closely from hatred and racism, which we strongly condemn.”

The conversation about racial injustice in 2020 has been… committed, rigorous, against the racism. In Telemundo News we are deeply committed, and we do it every day to providing our audience with objective news and information. Accuracy and rigor are core principles of our news coverage. Telemundo News highlights diverse voices on this and every issue. We will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of this very important story to help foster a better and broader understanding of racial injustices in our country. Our audience, made up of Latinos, suffers very closely from hatred and racism, which we strongly condemn.
