Lucy Rutishauser

Rutishauser makes money move. She has helped steer Sinclair’s growth over the years, culminating in the company being named in September to the Fortune 500 list for the first time. Rutishauser started at Sinclair in 1998 and became CFO in 2017. Her many successes include leading Sinclair through one of the largest debt offerings in the U.S. in 2019. For those who may be trying to re-enter the workforce after a hiatus, she advises they embrace the reason they left and use it. “For instance, if the reason relates back to children, that can be used to demonstrate that you are a multitasker and someone who can pivot quickly,” she says.

What one female empowerment book do you think every woman should read?
Perhaps Condoleezza Rice’s book “No Higher Honor.” While the book is not directly about female empowerment, Rice’s accomplishments throughout her life, and successful navigation with world leaders, are a reflection of female empowerment.
