What’s your boldest prediction about the industry in the next 10 years? We will see telecom networks become smarter and more efficient by using predictive models and processing data closer to where it’s being used with edge computing. This would help manage the huge amounts of data we’ll be dealing with in the future, making everything run smoother and be more connected. In simpler terms, the telecom world is likely to get a lot faster, more secure and smarter, which will change how we live and work every day.

Has the internet created more inclusion or exclusion? The internet is the most powerful connection tool mankind has ever produced. With the ability to communicate instantaneously with anybody on a global scale, anyone’s voice can be heard at any moment. I can’t think of a better way to describe inclusivity. Our society is more connected than ever, allowing people from all backgrounds to collaborate and share expertise as we work together towards a brighter future.

Why do you think DEI has come under attack by some? I believe the attacks on DEI stem from a mix of fear, misunderstanding, and ideological differences. Some people perceive DEI efforts as a challenge to the traditional norms and structures they are familiar with. Since DEI pushes for changes to the status quo, it can be seen as a threat by those who feel their way of life or values are being undermined.
