Earlier this year, Nishimura—who previously served as Netflix’s VP of original documentary and comedy programming—took on a slightly different role heading indie film and documentary series for the streamer. Netflix favorites like “Wild Wild Country” are still under her purview, as are some of the comedy and docuseries she had been developing prior to the shift.
