Hsia has a full plate running digital media for three NBCU nets. Under her leadership, the team engages with fans across platforms with industry-leading innovation. “A few years ago digital was, more often than not, seen as a content extension.’ Now digital stands on its own in terms of content, revenue and importance,” she says. Hsia is committed to continuing to drive the development of original digital video content throughout the portfolio, helping launch six digital series in May. She’s been honored numerous times in the industry, with Bravo Digital recognized with two Primetime Emmy Awards under her leadership.
What’s been the most dramatic change in your sector of the business today vs. three years ago?
A few years ago digital was, more often than not, seen as a content “extension.” Now digital stands on its own in terms of content, revenue and importance. Digital platforms are the best way for us to have a two-way conversation with the consumer – resulting in valuable data that will grow our business going forward.
