Advice I would give a recent graduate: Skate to where the puck is going. To me, this means to prepare oneself to pursue opportunities that allow you to be on the front end of influencing and forming the arc of the industries, society, and the foundational drivers of growth towards our future.
Will AI help or hurt diversity and inclusion? My perspective is that AI represents the next transformative inflection point that will have profound impacts on how we think, explore, plan, and do for generations to come. To that end, much like prior milestone events, such as the advent of the Internet era which democratized access to information and data to a broad audience, AI will allow us all to engage from the same starting point and be given equitable opportunities to define the value of its applications. Those with the best and most productive ideas and demonstrated ability to bring to life in a constructive manner will be highly sought after and therefore provided access to achieve benefit and reward.
