This year saw Jones add customer experience to her purview, and she took to it immediately. Not only did the Texas Region receive some of the best customer satisfaction scores in the company, but employee engagement scores were the best across Comcast for the sixth year running. It was Jones who led the creation of Women in Field Ops, a program to attract and retain women in frontline telecommunications jobs. She was recently named Co-Chair of Comcast’s West Division DE&I Council and she has worked to create an ambassador network and attract support advisors for employees. As for who she admires when it comes to LGBTQ+ advocacy? “Oprah, who has been using her platform to advocate for the community since the early ’90s,” she says. “An episode from 1997 stands out firmly in my mind.”
