Lauren Petterson

In 2019, Petterson became the first woman to serve as president of a business network. Since then, she’s boosted ratings 30% through new programming initiatives, introduction of the new “Invested in You” tagline, and creation of a more uplifting primetime slate focused on real estate, ingenuity and the American workforce. Active in talent development for FOX News Media as well, Petterson strives to elevate women to assume more prominent roles at the company. To women re-entering the workforce, she says, “Find good mentors at the office. Look for people you admire and you can learn from. In return, they will advocate for you.”

Best advice for someone looking to re-enter the workforce after a hiatus?
Find good mentors at the office. Look for people you admire and you can learn from. In return, they will advocate for you.

What one female empowerment book do you think every woman should read?
“Everything will be OK,” by Dana Perino. I wish I had this book in my 20s! She lays out how to find your strong voice and more importantly, how to use it wisely.
