Iwaoka started her career with The Walt Disney Company as a designer, and her strategic and creative ways of thinking have led her to multiple roles with the company. Now, she guides the client solutions team amidst a global pandemic, and is responsible for developing, designing and producing content, assets and activations across the Disney portfolio. Iwaoka helped reimagine the Disney Upfront and Hulu NewFront in the face of the abrupt shutdown, leading to the creation of Disney’s Virtual Roadshow. She’s also committed to mentoring young creatives across the company and industry at large. She says one of the most memorable events in her career was working with the Disney Tech team and Hour of Code to help advance kids in the STEM field for Disney’s first coding hour. “This was one of the first times I really got to see the impact of Disney in the community and in the lives of such young fans,” she says.
