Advice I would give a recent graduate? Build inclusive relationships. Actively seek to build relationships with people who are different from you.
Has the internet created more inclusion or exclusion? The internet has significantly contributed to greater inclusion in many aspects of society, making it a powerful force for connection and empowerment. At Comcast, we are committed to close that digital divide by addressing the three main levers in this space: access to reliable connectivity and devices, providing affordable solutions, and developing the skills needed to fully leverage what the internet has to offer. While the internet does have its challenges, such as the digital divide, its overall impact has been to create more inclusive societies.
What nonprofit are you proud to champion and why? The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HHCC) is a vital organization that plays a key role in supporting the Hispanic business community in Houston. By providing resources, networking, and advocacy, the HHCC empowers Hispanic-owned businesses, contributing significantly to the local economy. It serves as a strong voice for these businesses in policy discussions and fosters diversity and inclusion within the business community. Moreover, the HHCC’s initiatives extend beyond business, positively impacting education, healthcare, and civic engagement within the Hispanic community.
