Jane Rhodes

Rhodes’ role boils down to protecting Charter, providing essential training and security protection for the company’s facilities and employees. Not a particularly easy task, but after years in the FBI, she remains calm under pressure. Rhodes oversees a diverse team at Charter and is passionate about bringing junior-level women into roles and helping them to develop.

“From my early years of bossing around my little brothers and being bossed around by my big sisters, being part of the solution is important to me. I am proud of my ability to bring disparate views together with a focus on an important mission in demanding environments.”

How are you using AI in your job, or how do you envision using it down the road? It may sound silly, but parking lots are an area where AI is in use. As I am responsible for physical security at Charter, protecting our employees throughout their workday is important. It can start when they park their car or are dropped off. Our cameras and the related analytics can identify potential violent encounters or suspicious activity in the lots. The AI cameras help us to monitor multiple locations and improve security in a cost-effective manner. The cameras never sleep or take a sick day, allowing our team members to focus on mitigating risks and protecting all employees.
