“I am working to talk less and listen more. I am too quick to ‘give the answers to the test’ to my team. To allow the team to grow, I am working to focus on obtaining their input and feedback and allow them to lead decision making. My goal is to use my role to develop the team with a focus on excellence and leadership.”
What do you believe is the next big disruption facing the industry? In physical security, the trend is the increased use of analytics and technology to help solve workplace violence risks. In the past, on-site security officers were used to identify and manage work locations. Moving forward, remote technology and analytics can more quickly and accurately identify and alert security at multiple locations. The change allows for greater career opportunities within the security industry.
