It’s been a busy year for Haughton after joining Charter in November 2023. He got the ball rolling after playing a central role in the company’s rural expansion initiative and related application activity for state and federal programs. Not only that, he quickly became a member of Charter’s Diversity and Inclusion Executive Steering Committee, which meets regularly to review D&I progress and ensure those principles are present across Charter’s business segments.
Has the internet created more inclusion or exclusion? More by making accessible educational experiences, greater healthcare and more career opportunities. Our collective hope for tomorrow is that the benefits of the connected world continue to grow and help break down those barriers that still exist.
What’s your boldest prediction about your industry in the next 10 years? We are headed toward an era of unmatched innovation and advancement as ubiquitous, converged symmetrical and multi-gig connectivity matched with new technologies like Artificial Intelligence will expand our capacity, accelerate discovery, and advance society for the good of all.
Advice I would give a recent graduate: It is important to work hard and become an expert in your field, but never stop being a student and continue learning every day. Learn new skills, explore new hobbies, and take advantage of opportunities to experience something new.
