Tang was recently appointed to the role of CFO, Entertainment, NBCUniversal Television & Streaming Group where she will oversee finance activities for the Entertainment vertical, supporting the content and business divisions. Holly’s purview also now includes Entertainment Programming for Peacock, in addition to that of the linear Broadcast and Cable entertainment networks. Looking into 2021, Tang is focusing on growth across all platforms and ways to expand the business through forward-thinking models. As an active member of NBCU’s finance recruiting efforts, she makes it a priority to search for candidates from all backgrounds. “We all have to take an honest look at the composition of our staff and reflect on how we can do and be better,” she says.

In what ways can companies best show a sincere commitment to diversity and inclusion?
We need to make sure there is diversity among our decision makers. When companies start actively taking this step, it will feel like a sincere commitment.
What are some of the tough conversations this industry needs to have?
I don’t believe the challenges in our industry differ from other industries; the conversations should be the same. We all have to take an honest look at the composition of our staff and reflect on how we can do and be better.
