With more than 30 years in the industry, Picciolo has made quite the name for herself in field operations. Her recent work at Charter included the introduction of one-hour appointment windows for the West Region, which has had a real impact on Net Promoter Scores. Named as Cablefax, WICT and SCTE’s Women in Technology Award winner for 2017, Picciolo has a lengthy list of admirers for her work with Charter, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Media One and others over the years. She predicts next year’s big headline will be mobile integration for the bundle. “I’m excited about the future as we continue to expand our service offerings and really leverage this amazing network we have. There will be lots of growth opportunities plus great news and value for our customers,” Picciolo says.

Who is your favorite current female TV character and why?
Claire Underwood from “House of Cards.” She controls her world with an elegant strength that is missed by many of her opponents. She’s decisive, knows when to listen, when to comfort and when to stand her ground. She’s fun to watch!

What industry topic do you think will dominate industry headlines in 2018 and why?

What is one way the industry can continue to evolve in ridding itself of gender discrimination?
It is important to continue to keep the issue top of mind by talking about it, acknowledging it and holding our leadership teams accountable to ensure that they are seeking out women and minority candidates for all key roles. I am committed to ensuring that we have a great candidate pool with lots of diversity, and in the end you go with the best candidate for the position.

What famous woman, living or deceased, would you like to have dinner with?
Hillary Clinton. She has fought for gender equality, human rights, and worked in a male-dominated field her entire career. I would love to listen to her ideas on how to bring more women into executive roles and what she learned over the last few years.

Best advice for relieving stress?
Pilates and a great glass of Cabernet, both at the same time. No, just kidding.
