DeAdria Wright-Davis

Developing the talent that surrounds Wright-Davis is huge for her. She’s led her team in the transition to supporting customer chat on digital platforms, a growing area of need for Charter. She draws inspiration from her involvement with NAMIC and The WICT Network, but finds more ways to teach through the Spectrum Multicultural Business Resource Group and mentorship.

What does work-life balance mean to you? Finding your flow—being able to seamlessly integrate work responsibilities with your personal life. At Charter, we support flexibility and encourage everyone to find their flow. This means offering benefits that truly matter, such as paid time off, development opportunities, college education, healthcare and mental health resources. These benefits provide the peace of mind that allows me to be the best wife, mother, daughter, friend and employee I can be.

Has the internet created more inclusion or exclusion? The internet has hands down created more inclusion. It has transformed from a luxury to an essential part of everyday life. Everything from ordering groceries to communicating with your child’s teacher, and even talking to your doctor, is now done online. This connectivity has bridged gaps, allowing people from diverse backgrounds and locations to access information, services, and opportunities that were previously out of reach. Charter Communications’ commitment to keeping America connected and expanding the availability of broadband to more rural communities underscores the import role the internet plays in our daily lives. By providing fast and reliable internet service, Charter ensures that people can stay connected, informed, and engaged. This level of connectivity is crucial for fostering inclusion, as it enables participation in the digital world, regardless of one’s geographical location or socioeconomic status. The internet has significantly enhanced inclusion by making critical services and information accessible to a broader audience, enriching lives and fostering a more connected society.

Advice I would give a recent graduate: To a recent graduate, my advice is to always be inquisitive and fearless. Curiosity will drive your growth and open new opportunities, while fearlessness will help you embrace challenges and take the risks that often lead to the best learning experiences. Don’t be afraid to say yes when others say no; sometimes the greatest opportunities come from stepping out of your comfort zone and taking on tasks that others might avoid. Be a constant learner, as the world is always changing, and staying up to date with new skills and knowledge is crucial. Never stop learning and evolving. Consider joining Charter Communications, a company that values its employees, encourages their development, and makes a real impact in people’s lives. Here you’ll find a supportive environment that encourages you to find your flow and achieve a fulfilling work-life balance. By following these principles, you’ll be well on your way to a successful and rewarding career.
