Dana Zimmer

It’s never easy sitting in the distribution seat, but Zimmer delivered more than $2.6 billion for Nexstar in 2023 through a mix of affiliation, carriage and retransmission consent deals. In the past year alone, she’s negotiated contracts with MVPDs and vMVPDs covering close to 50% of Nexstar’s broadcast footprint. Her job became more complicated when Nexstar acquired a majority interest in The CW as she navigated affiliation switches in eight major markets, and she managed to pull it all off while expanding NewsNation’s reach to more than 70 million U.S. households.
