Like the menus at the two restaurants she owns with her husband, Shibata’s tasks are a flavorful mix all centered around unified goals of the company, for which she oversees the financial chiefs of each network and studio in the NBCU Cable Entertainment portfolio. Of late, she played a key role in the negotiation and renewal of “WWE Raw” on USA, and employed her expertise in integrating the financial operations of Craftsy and its rebrand into digital footprint Bluprint, which launched last July. Shibata also has her finger on the pulse of broader, companywide business machinations. As NBCU looks toward the debut of its direct-to-consumer service, she continually advocates for a business landscape that fosters the green-lighting and delivery of premium content.
