Longtime Comcast exec Lynch’s star continues to rise at the company. In May, she was named to her new post in the Washington Region, segueing from her role overseeing engineering operations in the West division. In her new digs, Lynch oversees Comcast cable operations in a region serving more than 1.5 million and customers and 4,700 employees. “We can continue to evolve on the topic of gender discrimination by building a culture of diversity and inclusion,” she says. “We have the responsibility to ensure our boards are more diverse and that we are hiring, training and promoting a diverse workforce across all levels of the organization.”

Who is your favorite current female TV character and why?
I’ve been watching “Game of Thrones” and Daenerys and the several other strong women characters are always fun to watch.

What industry topic do you think will dominate industry headlines in 2018 and why?
I would imagine 2018 industry topics in the headlines would include Comcast and how we are improving the customer experience. Wireless and product proliferation involving X1, the cloud and AI will continue to help us evolve our products and service.

What is one way the industry can continue to evolve in ridding itself of gender discrimination?

Best advice for relieving stress?
For relieving stress, I subscribe to exercise first, then a nice glass of wine.
