Kanouff is widely considered one of the top women tech execs in cable. She directs the strategy and development of Cisco’s video software portfolio, which spans content security, encoding and streaming, including Videoscape offerings, conditional access, and services and delivery. She manages a global team of engineers, architects, product line managers, technical marketing engineers, and business development managers. When it comes to supporting the industry’s women, she believes if each man can adopt and help one woman along with her career, it will quickly make a major impact on the industry.

Ask each man to adopt and help one woman along with their career.  It will quickly make a major impact on the industry.  I have had awesome men play a major part in my career advancement and am very grateful for it.

What’s been the biggest story in cable this year?

Time Warner and Comcast. And net neutrality.

How do you define a successful career?

Happiness and respect.

Having a supportive family.
