She also recently took over the network’s internship process. “The best advice I’ve ever gotten is the reminder that it’s PR not ER,” she deadpans. “We get so hyper-focused on rushing from one deadline to the next, it’s important to remember to take time to enjoy what we do.”

Knowing how to prioritize, how to nurture existing media relationships, and how to communicate effectively both internally and externally

 

What makes you most excited about this industry as you advance in your career?

It’s an exciting time to be working in television – daunting, but exciting. Because the industry is ever-changing, we really have the opportunity to be on the front lines of innovation, coming up with creative ways to promote new content. Every day is a different adventure as we navigate the media landscape!
