Hand it to TiVo once again to impress us with its ability to cultivate partnerships within the cable industry for mutual benefit. In this unique and effective pairing, TiVo partnered not only with cable operator Vyve Broadband but with Evolution Digital to create a DTA (digital terminal adaptor)-based interactive guide that gave this small operator access to the kind of features and enhancements that used to be available only to customers of the biggest cable players. Meanwhile, Vyve ended up with lower costs and a better interface to boot. Not a bad deal.
