Cajigas plays a key role consolidating the media technology, productions and operations business, and strategic planning functions across Discovery to create efficiencies. Before joining Discovery in 2006, Cajigas worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Co. both in its Colombian and Washington, DC, offices. Cajigas has seen great change in her sector of the cable business within the last three years. “With the proliferation of content and business models, the consumer is now in charge,” she says. “They can decide what, when and how they want to consume content. In today’s consumer-centric environment, knowing who your audience is and how you can super serve them is more essential than ever.”
