Song’s role at AMC continues to expand. This past year he added digital/ advanced platform sales to his ad sales responsibilities. He’s working to develop an integrated linear and digital platform team to better leverage the company’s assets and identify additional revenue opportunities for both IFC and WE tv, and as part of that vision he’s been working to educate and acclimate new hires in various departments. Song identifies several areas where cable could step up its diversity efforts. “Growth, promotion and leadership roles for minorities are all places where I would like to see improvements,” he says.
