Simmons leads all people-related functions, including compensation and benefits, diversity, employee communications, talent acquisition and more for Comcast’s Central Division. Previously, she was the senior HR exec for customer service operations, which entailed employee recruitment and retention for more than 50,000 customer account executives, technicians and customer operations leaders. Simmons is active in professional organizations including WICT and NAMIC, where she is a mentor and chapter adviser, respectively. When evaluating the industry’s diversity efforts, she believes it’s moving in the right direction. “I think opportunities exist to continue to develop more quality diverse programming for the multiple audiences the industry serves,” she says.
