As Comcast’s chief sustainability officer since late last year, Davis focuses on lessening corporate-wide impact on the environment in the areas of energy, emissions, natural resources, outreach and operations. Efforts span waste-diversion at the company’s theme parks, improving fuel-efficiency of fleet vehicles and switching to LED lighting at all facilities. She inspires and engages others and hopes employees will volunteer 500,000 hours to environmental goals by 2020. “I like to challenge mentees to think more broadly about what they’re capable of doing from a skills perspective rather than limiting themselves to a particular job area,” she says. “I ask them to look at how their talents are transferable to other jobs because it’s critical not to limit yourself.”
