Kalle oversees Sony Movie Channel, launched in October 2010, as well as GSN, FEARnet and 3net. She’s increased viewership by healthy margins with two SMC programming blocks and helped the channel win two PROMAX awards. Her efforts show results, despite the ever-present obstacle of “securing distribution for our independent channels, amidst an ever-changing landscape.” Work aside, Kalle is a cinema buff. She sits on the board of directors for the Indian Film Festival, whose programs help emerging indie filmmakers. Her duties include fundraising and identifying the fest’s award winners.
