In his current role, Chadda oversees finance planning, analysis and controllership for the cable entertainment group. He also leads many cross-cable entertainment operating initiatives. A champion of mentoring, Chadda believes that potential executives sometimes just need a push in the right direction in order to shine. When advising a mentee who lacked the confidence to pitch ideas, “I explained that people respect individuals who are willing to put themselves out there. After some coaching they decided to pitch a big idea, and the results were great.”

What’s been the biggest story in cable this year? 

The explosion of original content and the rapid expansion of consumption methods available to the consumer.  We’ve obviously seen this coming, but the trends have definitely accelerated this year.

How do you define diversity?

Bringing different types of people with varied points of view together.  Diversity allows for different points of view to be heard, leading to better decision-making.  It’s a priority for us and something, I feel, we do very well.
