Winley defi nes diversity in cable three ways—diversity of leadership, content and partnerships. And though he says “there is no shortage of good will and intentions… I think that there is still work to do to diversify cable’s executive ranks as well as its creative teams to ensure that our stories and programming offerings are as varied as our audiences interests,” he says. As such, he continues to integrate socially relevant thinking into all sectors of A+E Networks so its content and working environment refl ect inclusiveness. He also has helped enhance the in-house Multicultural Council. Under Winley’s stewardship, these tasks jibe harmoniously with the company’s strategic business objectives. Thanks to his guidance and collaborations with other leaders at A+E, the networks are succeeding in terms of both growth and innovation.
