Sirens

This series’ devotion to guy humor pales only its willingness to skewer this gaggle of paramedics, who excel at their jobs but screw up everything else. With Denis Leary firmly in the producer’s chair, there’s no doubt that this dark brand of self-deprecating humor comes from the same sensibility that brought us the hilarious—and often moving—“Rescue Me.” Sirens does itself proud. And it’s just darned funny.
