As for benefits, there are many: A generous paternity/maternity leave program, adoption assistance with paid leave and up to a $5,000 reimbursement, summer flex-time and tuition reimbursement (just raised to $5,250 per employee per year vs. $4,000 in 2011). Earlier this year, Scripps launched its inaugural “Get Active” employee wellness initiative during which employees walked more than 287 million steps and exercised for more than 18,400 hours. Scripps’ Mentoring Experience, meanwhile, connects mentors and mentees for a formal, year-long program. And last Oct, Scripps hosted Knoxville’s first ever Diversity Summit, a one-day dialogue designed to enhance marketplace diversity in the region.
