With 40 years in cable, Kinsman has worked at many of the big-name companies in the industry. She returned to independent consulting in 2009, and fondly remembers how early in her career she went rapidly from not knowing what cable TV was to helping train system engineers. She’s also dealt with plenty of skeptics since those days. “I’ve had friends outside of cable tell me for all these years that cable won’t last – they are very wrong, so far, because of the people that work in our great industry,” she says.
