TWC got a new leading man this year. Marcus, former company president and COO, stepped up to fill Glenn Britt’s sizable shoes and promised a new vision. And new he did bring, proposing an audacious $45.2 billion merger with one of the nation’s biggest cable companies, Comcast. Whether or not Congress gives it the go-ahead, he’s got the right team in place to back him. Marcus’ replacement, Jain, knows all about big acquisitions having led Insight through a billion-dollar TWC buyout the previous year. On the financial front, Minson is the guy shareholders will be looking to lay out the benefits of the alliance as he guides the company through one of its most mammoth deals to date. Ultimately though, it may all come down to MacKinnon’s ability to swing Washington to their side. Will they pull it off?
