In August, Schulte led CSN mid-Atlantic’s successful integration of its digital properties, creating CSNmidatlantic.com and the CSN Mid-Atlantic app. The website has since posted all-time network highs for monthly and daily unique users. What’s the trick to balancing family and work? “I will let you know when I find one,” she says with a smile.

What’s the most important aspect of mentoring?

I think the most important part of mentoring is providing an example that they can relate to, or identify with. Once they understand that they have a lot in common with those further along in their careers, it seems more realistic for them to be in that position someday.

What/who inspires you at work? What/who inspires you outside the office?

At work, what inspires me is passion for our product or they work you do – both my own and that of the people around me. At home, I am inspired by my son, Ryan. That’s an easy one.

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

I will let you know when I find one. In all seriousness, I think it is important to have clear priorities. That doesn’t solve the problem, but can help you make decisions along the way.
