With annual viewer increases for games of DC’s Capitals (hockey) and Wizards (basketball) of 49% and 47%, respectively, Comcast SportsNet is making a larger impression in the nation’s capital. But don’t call the 12-year cable vet’s network a regional. The word “regional doesn’t accurately portray the scope of our business anymore,” she says. “Our partner teams are global brands, many of our sponsors are national companies and our online and on-screen product is available throughout the country.”
