Rahsan-Rahsan Lindsay
Lindsay, who was elevated to his current position in May, has led TV One to record revenue numbers across upfront, scatter and direct response sales. He continues to spearhead the network’s annual upfront. Lindsay is hoping that the cable industry’s efforts with diversity show similar gains to TV One’s revenues. He gives the industry a C on its diversity efforts, “It could be an ‘F,’ but there is an acknowledgement of the problem, and the industry has done a pretty good job in front of the camera,” he says.
What grade do you give the cable industry on diversity and why?
I’d give the cable industry a C. It could really be an F, but there is an acknowledgment of the problem, and the industry has done a pretty good job in front of the camera. However, the story is very different behind the camera. At the end of the day, our industry, especially, needs more diversity in the executive ranks.
My personal election campaign slogan would be…
