Oller was behind nuvoTV’s rebrand in 2010, which modernized the network to appeal to the contemporary American Latino demographic. Lately he’s been tackling nuvoTV’s multiplatform initiatives, including a revamped Website and targeted social media. He’s also behind key strategic partnerships, including one with NBC Latino designed to broaden the net’s scope during the election year. He’s a passionate expert on the fast-growing bicultural Latino audience, so expect a lot more from Oller in the future. So where does he get his passion and drive? It might have something to do with the sign on the desk of his first boss, which read “Illegitimi non carborundum.” Translation: “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.” “The takeaway: Always fight for what you passionately believe,” he says.
