Press Kit | Pop – Schitt’s Creek Season 2

Journalists often have to travel, and Pop’s “Schitt’s Creek” has them covered. Or at least will make them laugh. To promote the comedy’s sophomore season, Pop sent a “Motel Survival Kit” in a sleek black box. Along with the usual show description were four discs offering not only upcoming eps, but a catch-up and a glimpse of digital series “Wake Up with the Schitts” as well) were a handful of items that the Rose family may find useful  after they’ve lost all their money and are forced to rebuild their lives in Schitt’s Creek. The kit included a flask emblazoned with “Rock bottom meets top shelf,” a black light for the truth about your new living quarters, an eye mask that reads “take a vacation from your standards” and a scarf to remind your new neighbors where you came from. Some 400 press kits were mailed and 100 motel kits, with the show nabbing coverage on a variety of outlets—from “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to Time Magazine to Sirius Radio.
