You’d guess that Paul Butler could provide song and verse on the intricacies of musical property rights. Well, he can, but Butler’s far more than the network’s general counsel (he was recently promoted from SVP). Overseeing business and legal affairs, he’s a key part of Gospel’s fast growth. He’s also much in demand at industry panels. Yet his major contribution may be giving back to the community. He’s chaired the board of Brotherhood/Sister Sol, a Harlem non-profit that helps young minorities become empowered critical thinkers. One student called Butler’s career “truly an example for all of us.” We agree.
