A telecommunications professional with more than 25 years of experience, Arment was the very first winner of WICT, SCTE and Cablefax’s Women in Technology award in 1995. She has been a consultant for more than 15 years, working with Time Warner Cable and others. When it comes to mentoring, “always remember the focus is to support and provide insight when possible on the path the mentee is on, not the mentor’s path,” she advises.

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

When confronted with a choice which involves where to put my time/effort, I try to reflect on which decision will have the most positive impact, not only on myself but also my family, friends and co-workers.

 

Your favorite trick for unwinding?

Now that I’m back in Colorado this may need to change as the weather becomes cold, but for now I get on my bicycle and ride as long as time and energy permits.
