Whether as host of “Super Soul Sunday” or “Oprah’s Master Class,” or conducting one-on-one interviews with prominent newsmakers, she remains the trusted on-air face, and behind-the-scenes mastermind, of OWN. OWN’s development deal with Tyler Perry spawned new hit family drama “The Have and the Have Nots,” and Winfrey remains unafraid to take risks. In October, the network aired “Belief,” a seven-hour original series that took filmmakers around the world in search of stories of faith.
