Bergman was part of the team at Advance Newhouse that launched Bright House in 2003, and she has been the president since 2007. She’s known for her visionary leadership, especially as it relates to technology. “We have such a dearth of women in technology that I cannot help but reply the opportunities are significant for our industry as it relates to hiring, promoting and retaining women in tech.  Yet, there is definitely room for more women in all areas of leadership,” she says.

 

Where are the biggest growth areas for women in cable? 

We have such a dearth of women in technology that I cannot help but reply the opportunities are significant for our industry as it relates to hiring, promoting and retaining women in tech.  Yet, there is definitely room for more women in all areas of leadership.  The companies who have shown marked and admirable leadership in this area have seen better results. I hope others will follow their lead.
