When you find something on Netflix from a recommendation, you can thank Hunt. As chief product officer he leads the team that designs and optimizes the Netflix user experience. And Netflix has, of course, helped usher consumers from an appointment-based world to an on demand, personalized one. Hunt has helped empower Netflix’s recommendation machine in order to improve customer satisfaction—and has changed the rules of content discovery for the platform’s subscribers as a result. Finding the right niche audience for each show is his role, and he has done a bang-up job.
